OUR HISTORY
It all began in 1998 when Alex Gonzalez (Owner & CEO) moved from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico to the United States to serve in the US Army for (5) years. Upon completing his service he settled in Columbia, South Carolina along with his family. Carrying on a variety of business ventures for several years Alex noticed that on Fridays many of his employees had to wait in long lines at convenience stores in order to cash their payroll checks.

Alex thought there had to be a better way. Within three years of acquiring the business in 2003 formerly known as (El Rincon Latino), Alex Gonzalez decided to reinvent the business module and add much-needed services for his currents customers such as Check Cashing, Bill Payment, and Cellphones. It worked! And now his business has become a leader in this industry.
As recent as 2017, Alex Gonzalez decided that it was time for more innovation and find ways to continue expanding their services in order to satisfy the local community needs. So, as of December 2017, the El Rincon Latino went through a new brand and service. This gave birth to our new company brand, RICON MONEY SERVICES LLC.
Now our brand has expanded its services from check cashing, wire transfers, bill payments, Auto Insurance, Title Loans, Notary Public, International Driver License, money orders and much more. RINCON offers a wide range of financial services at some of the most competitive rates in the financial services industry. We are also open evenings and weekends, seven days a week including Holidays. So there is never an excuse to benefit from our services.
